Jack Frost - Rise of the Guardians

i had a lot of fun doing this one. it got way out of hand XD

materials: copic markers, micron liners, and white gel pen

woah, this is very nice. :'D at first, I thought it was watercolor from how soft the background looks but turns out you didn't use watercolor at all, lol. I sure knew about a lot of different drawing tools from this drawing of yours.

about the drawing itself, it is very cool, really. Jack is adorable and I really like hiss expression and dynamic pose. but what I love the most is probably the color. it's just so stunning and all the white marks on Jack's shirt and pole and the stars really catch attention. not to mention the really dynamic and soft background. -shrug-

all and all, such a fresh and nice drawing, indeed. it sure put up a smile in my face. :) thanks for sharing this and good luck on your future works!

as for my materials, i used two colored pens for the lines, copic makers for the color, and a white gel pen for the white marks and snowflakes.

yeah, I heard about copic markers before, but they're kinda expensive, huff. at least it looks worth it from how good this drawing, though. and you really did a nice job with the white. might want to search for white gel pen next time I went to buy some stationary. :'D

they're not too hard to find in craft stores and art stores (the gel pens)

yeah, copics ARE expensive! i got a lot of mine for birthdays and xmas. also, never buy them from a store like michaels. they're like TWICE the price there...

that's good to hear. the gel pens don't seem to be that expensive too, so I guess it'll probably be on my buy-list. :')

they sure are. I'm glad you can have those as presents, though. and thanks for the advice. I know a store where they sell really close to the factory's price, so I know what you mean here...

the sad thing is that most of the ones i got as present are going dry now OTL so i have to buy refills :C

ah, that's not really good to hear. well, that sure is kinda sad that you still have to pay for the refills when the copic itself is expensive. hope the refills don't cost much, though. :'3

they're about 6-7 dollars but they refill the marker quite a few times
